COVID RESPONSE
Updated Parameters for Church gatherings (November 23, 2020)
Being responsible adults means that in making decisions we weigh risks and rewards in all areas of life. The recommendations below are NOT mandates. The spirit in which the recommendations are made can be summarized in the following passages of scripture…
“So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus…” Philippians 2:1-5
“I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
Ephesians 4:1-3
Due to a spike in COVID cases we strongly recommend the following…
PLEASE DO NOT come into the building if you are not feeling well (i.e. sinus congestion, runny nose, cough, fever, upset stomach, etc…)
- We are looking into broadcasting our service on an FM radio frequency for those who would like to come to the church property and sit in their cars and listen to the service.
- We are limiting seating to no more than ½ capacity in every room. (approximately 150 seats in sanctuary)
- We continue to offer overflow seating in the 3 overflow areas with the upstairs area continuing to be a “mask only” area. The service can be viewed via video in these areas.
- We are tightening up time spent in service – shooting for a one-hour service for the time being.
- We have discontinued the coffee bar for the time being.
- We will continue to do temperature checks in the nursery. If your child is running a fever, exhibits a runny nose, is coughing, or exhibits other signs of sickness they will not be allowed in the nursery.
- You should feel free to wear a face covering in any area of our Church property, however face coverings are not required to attend services.
- We will post the following on doorways…
